DHS Finalizes Rule Restricting Foreign-Sourced PPE Under Make PPE in America Act
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) finalized a rule on September 18, 2026 amending its acquisition regulation to codify compliance with the Make Personal Protective Equipment in America Act. The rule, effective October 19, 2026, is meant to sustain and expand domestic PPE manufacturing capacity.
